It's something that I have mixed feelings on because of course it's not going to be for everyone, you would think, but at the same time I feel like the folks who are the loudest about it are the same sorts of people who will go "Eww!!" at drag shows or burlesque shows and kink at pride.
Eldest was visiting from his dorm. He was miserable & we needed to cheer him up. Took the kids to a midnight screening of RHPS at a historic theater. The whole deal: clown burlesque opener. Full live cast. Goodie bags with toast, squirt guns, etc 😹 They were like "you used to DO this?!" So much fun!

My favorite part about going to burlesque shows with my partner is showing up as some androgynous goth baddie while he looks like the most standard middle-aged white man ever, complete with Hawaiian shirt.
