Last conference day. CSSE and CSSHE have been phenomenal learning experiences for me. I don't really feel connected to the Federation though with all of their missteps this year. It was attending CSSE/CSSHE not Congress. Biggest frustration though was how sometimes a Montreal bus just doesn't come.

Basically once you're at Congress you can go to all the CSSE and CSSHE sessions. I tend to choose ones that interest me rather than following a specific track, but most often that's CASE and CPES anyhow. I'm presenting with CASE this year (part of CAFE) and organized a discussion panel for QSEC.

I'm glad CSSE has decided to entirely move off campus now. I hope Congress takes the message that CSSE and CSSHE could leave entirely and may decide to do so if they don't change how they respond to crises. After 2019, you'd think they might have learned to listen to member associations.

It's my first time going to Congress and I have to say the lack of communication coming from Federation is not a good look. As an outsider, it feels like the two associations I am going for (CSSE and CSSHE) were basically hung out to dry. How does this not end with large associations splitting off?
