"Summer Cornfield" … A brilliant green cornfield, the stalks already beginning to tassel at the ends, waves lazily under the summer sunshine. A drive through the heart of the Laurel Highlands in Central PA , USA, brings visual gem after visual gem. The sapphire blues of the skies, the ruby reds of the barns, the golden fields and the emerald hills and crops … all are a delight and the picture perfect examples of a summer's day in the country.

This image was hand painted in Corel Painter (not Ai) from one of my own photos (not stock or public domain), and is a cropped version of an old favorite, The Red Barn on Burnt House Road, which is also available at my shop.
