and I do feel a bit bad complaining about it as like, their perspective isn't inherently less valid than mine, but it does mean that what they see as a normal nice thing to do just makes me want to claw my eyes out in frustration
so I read the first couple chapters of dandadan just to see what's up, and I think maybe I'm at a point in life where I hate shonen. Worthless milquetoast male protagonist with a way more interesting female lead taking the backseat makes me want to claw my eyes out.
