They studied a programme aimed at empowering underserved youth and communities. Their findings are that student were growing outside the garden as well as inside.
my public HS (in CT) taught abt the Holocaust w/post-war concentration camp newsreels c.1971. Jewish kids got to leave the room, everyone else had to stay & watch. But I'm really talking abt silence or not w/in families & Jewish communities, not nec. society at large.

That's a pretty universal phenomenon, with diaspora communities. The dialectics of blending & segregation are as delicate as the jetstream. Some on the surface small changes in the mother system can alter its wave forms into something monstrous, quite easily.
