It’s difficult when there are plenty of Jews—even intelligent, thoughtful, sensitive Jews—who will tell you, “I’m sorry, but to me you simply aren’t Jewish. You’re a nice person, and I hope you do the full conversion someday, but you aren’t Jewish.” I’ve heard that from ppl.
