A sad sight on my walk to work. Looks like this Cringleford homeowner is about to extend their garden right up to Harts Lane and has cut down the trees/shrubs. A householder further down did this last year. Apparently it’s their land but historically the gardens didn’t extend right up to the path.
Wonder how many more buildings the UEA can put up before it maxes out its planning permission. If I were them I’d surreptitiously buying up farmland in Colney and Cringleford.
Occasionally, here in Norwich, I'm in touch with a local poet called Ron Nevett, who writes exclusively about our city and its history. One of those sorts of days when you walk your best pal, Pinky, in the rain and you see 2 roe deer 🦌 on Cringleford Meadow and you’re both like “yeah - that was nice” One of those days 😊
