Huh. Ok, color me intrigued for Curseborne. A familiar d10 Storypath system with an urban fantasy setting without the WoD baggage of previous games. Been messing around a bit with DC20's weapon and magic item creation systems. Having myself a bit of fun coming up with stuff that's not already in the current beta build. Can't wait to see what's gonna be added or changed as they get closer to the 1.0 release

Exactly! If you have that many issues with the system (or the creators) then it's easy enough to find other systems to play or even just some houserules. Personally I really want to try out DC20, as it looks like a really fun system.

And if you love 5e but don't like Hasbro's money grubbing, there are several direct replacements like Tales of the Valiant, Level Up Advanced 5e, or the upcoming DC20, MCDM RPG and Nimble 5e. Plus all the old books still work. There are probably some used 2014 Players Handbooks to be had!
