Yeah, the F-18 isn't really sufficent to get an impression, because it won't climb much higher than ~50,000 ft. The only stock airplane that'll go higher is the (fictional) Darkstar from Maverick, but that has a terrible cockpit. Also, the game's render distance simply might not be high enough, lol.
