My Dharawal neighbourhood
Methane leaking out of old mining site in Dharawal National Park near Sydney that closed decades ago "..30 years after it was last used. Thermal vision filmed by the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) this year, & given to the ABC, shows methane coming from old mine vent shafts..." #AusPol
Some 34 years after operations closed at the North Cliff mining site in Dharawal National Park, vision given to the ABC shows methane gas leaking out into the atmosphere.
Here's another one I planned on using, but didn't. I think it's obvious which images I ended up using. Tbh, I didn't know how to design Kareela's dress using the Dharawal images, so I went with the Wiradjuri ones instead.
Here are some images I used as references or planned on using as references. As you can see, they are images of of Wiradjuri people (at least I assume the Aboriginal Australians on the bottom right of the 2nd image are supposed to be Wiradjuri) and Dharawal people.
(Her name is a Dharawal name, but her clothing and face paint are Wiradjuri.) Also, her flavors are blackcurrant (a fruit I tried the flavor of before via Haribo Twin Snakes) and quandong, a fruit Aboriginal Australians traditionally ate (it tastes like peach apparently).
