here's the music I listened to the most this past week (sep. 3 - sep. 15) I'm back to seeking out DJ mixes to listen to, there's nothing like the joy of songs blending into one another seemlessly, truly also yeah I listen to my own music pretty fucking often; I'm who I made it for, sue me
first concert: The Jacksons last: The Hold Steady worst: Deltron 3030 loudest: Dieselboy best: Underworld most surprising: Kid Koala happy I got to see: Janelle Monae opening for Of Montreal wish I could have seen: The Go Gos
My dad asking me if I know what Drum and Bass is was a surprising turn today. Wasn't sure if he was about to ask me to pull out some dieselboy or something.
I always liked Noisia. I never got into dubstep because I found it repetitive (weary after too much Hardfloor in the 90s, I guess?) but am a devoted dark DnB listener (Dieselboy/Audio/Gridlok/Evol Intent). Will definitely check this out! ❤️
100%. Them along with Technical Itch brought some really good tech-step sound. I remember Dieselboy featuring them a lot in their Human Resource mix
it is time... it is time... it is time... to pop in the Dieselboy Project Human CD
...AND EVEN THEN, finding the genres I liked at all was a motherfucker because it would all be shoved together in the "Dance" section, which was never that big. Aphex Twin, Dieselboy, The Venga Boys, Atari Teenage Riot, Paul Oakenfold, Underworld, Eiffel65, DJ Rap, all on the same little shelf.
I remember playing a frenzy barb in 2003, jamming along to Dieselboy, going so fast I had a hard time controlling my movement. Good times!
