I was an avid reader as a kid but I was not, like many, an advanced reader. Anne McCaffrey wasn't enjoyable because I just didn't understand enough of it. One day, as a young teenager, I tentatively decided to try Dragonflight again. I loved it, and it opened up a whole new world of books to me.
