Based on how the Eradicator screen was blocked on the cover, the line about the revived Superman’s eyes possibly still being sensitive, and not actually seeing them together, I think readers were meant to think they were one and the same. But it’s handled a bit clumsily.
Basically you get Eradicator/Cyborg who both are played as if they might be Clark back with trauma induced amnesia. Superboy is a clone who claims genetic identity, but was lied to about that. Steel is always the Spiritual Successor in contrast to the other 3.
They tried to give 3 of the 4 Supermen a plausible claim as to being the Real one... though Cyborg and Eradicator are the 2 that were supposed to be teases for possibly Clark... but they only keep it up like 2 months at most before Eradicator starts the trail of realizing none of them are Clark.
So I sued the charlatans at Spartan Mosquito (Hattiesburg, MS) for malicious prosecution and won, and yesterday the settlement check finally cleared. The amount covers all the legal fees I spent defending against their SLAPP over my negative review of their scam product. Now to get EPA & FTC to act.
