#FancyDrinks Taking the taste of matcha away with a Bright Skies Gin Daiquiri (violet gin, white rum, elderflower liqueur, lime juice). This is Marjorie’s least favourite cocktail on account of the frivolous viola ice cubes. She’s best no consoled by Amelie. Robert Johansson Mouse is being ignored.

#FancyDrinks Amber Room (gin, green chartreuse, Antica Formula, orange bitters). Vlad has come to the mousehold, looking for Kevin, who was supposed to be putting the bins out. He has also ended up having a martini. So easily led, these mice.

#FancyDrinks Sabot (gin, triple sec, lemon juice, sugar syrup, egg white, Prosecco). This is as lemony as a very lemony cocktail that’s just been awarded a degree in being lemony at Oxford University.

Let the #FancyDrinks commence. Espresso Martini (vodka, cold brew, coffee liqueur, salt). Young Kevin L’Empaleur, son of Vlad, has come to see the festive decor. Marjorie thinks it’s frivolous that I’ve been rummaging around in the hopper like Gareth Hunt for three perfect coffee beans as a garnish.

Been FaceTiming my parents (who only left yesterday) so I’m very late posting this but I had a Green Park (basil, old Tom gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup, celery bitters, egg white). #FancyDrinks Claude, Jacques and Marjorie’s nephew, is visiting and has been furnished with a martini.

#FancyDrinks Green Puritan (gin, dry vermouth, green chartreuse, orange bitters). Garnished with orange zest and a flower, because I’m entering my ‘everything and several kitchen sinks’ era. New neighbour Muriel has popped in to introduce herself and is bemused by the cocktail in the living room.

I haven't had a drink tonight. I'm saving my allowance for the big night out tomorrow when I will almost certainly be enjoying a couple of #FancyDrinks
