Ich brauch mehr Focustime. Heute sicher 3-4h verloren, einfach, weil ich permanent angequatscht wurde. Und am Abend versuche ich das wieder wettzumachen, indem ich bis spät arbeite, aber ab irgendeinem Zeitpunkt funktioniert dann auch das Gehirn nicht mehr.

My Sept goal: To work on my novel 1st thing every morning, no matter how busy -- even if it's just a few minutes of brainstorming or free writing. Kept waiting for focustime without interruptions. (ha) Instead of getting frustrated, using a #GoldStarChallenge to help me get into a regular habit.

For those curious, I use Obsidian because I like interlinking / backlinking. Because I rarely get sustained focustime for just working on my novel writing, easier for me to remind myself of places / characters / plot points / elements I need to remember etc. I use Obsidian for picture bks as well.

Esp after watching Ellen Brock's recent inspiring video, I want to carve out more focustime for my novel writing. I envy those who make progress on a project by just devoting just a few min/day. I find it too frustrating. Rather than just stay frustrated, I need to DO something about it. cont'd 👇🏼

Bought a walking pad for my homeoffice and it feels like one of the best investments this year. Getting in 3-5km per day, rising my focustime & getting rid of this bad-posture stiffness after work is just perfect. Should obviously not replace the regular work-out routine. But well, life happens 🎮

I do think the tech is incredible and useful, but yes definitely getting this vibe. I do find it unsettling that with eye tracking, theoretically, companies could track what employees are focusing on. "Stephen we need to see a higher FocusTime score from you next week"
