Yes, Petter Hällberg just joined Bluesky as @hallbergpetter.bsky.social#PaleoSky#GDGTsgo.bsky.app/RC38uDF
/2 microbial GDGTs (not used for temperature this time!), molecular markers for biomass burning, and climate modeling, allowing to disentangle the influence of mean annual precipitation and its seasonality. Orbital forcing is clear driver.
The Oceanography feed is such a great addition to this platform (thank you @davidho.bsky.social#GDGTs 🌊
New paper from Julio and I on marine OH-GDGTs around Iceland. TL;DR nitrate concentrations and water-column stratification are best correlated to OH-GDGT distributions, and not temperature (at least for Iceland...) www.frontiersin.org/journals/ear...
GT stands for-Glycerol Dialkyl Glycerol Tetraethers-These are a type of lipid molecule found in the cell membranes of certain archaea and bacteria. GDGTs are particularly useful in paleoclimatology and geochemistry
🧪⚒️ New paper out by @palaeostefan.bsky.socialauthors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S...
And now I am still doing #paleoclimate#biomarkers#GDGTs@climatecerege.bsky.social... again!
Well, it looks like I need to tag a few other 👩🔬, including those doing #biomarkers#GDGTs#WomenInSTEM@cindydejonge.bsky.social@francien.bsky.social@julielattaud.bsky.social@sarah-coffinet.bsky.social@docsabine.bsky.social@villanueva-laura.bsky.social
