There is something about writing SW fanfic... it connects us to our unconscious like the films always meant to do, but when WE write it, we tap directly into it... not passive observers, but actively researching, weaving the tales from our own experience, the GFFA just the starry sky we look up to
It makes more sense in the context of how common planetary shields are in the GFFA. The juice is much more worth the squeeze if the alternative is a lengthy & costly siege like in the Clone Wars.

Likewise it's a disappointment because The Acolyte tackled complicated themes, conflicted/faulted characters, and made us re-examine existing power structures in the GFFA while taking live-action SW into a new era. I want more new! More fresh! More big swings!
