NtRTIs and GLP-1s s are the leading edge of interventions that mitigate the effects of all forms of ‘vice’ which will impact which ones have the most ill effects in 50 years. Alcohol has the most moralizing surrounding it and people are going to have a hard time giving that up.

I am broadly optimistic that booze consumption is going to go down and I think a nontrivial driver of this will be glp-1 agonists, both directly and indirectly through the mechanism of elites being a lot less attracted to booze
