The row in front of us was full of, what I remember as, a bunch of teenage girls. Whenever ANY dinosaur appeared on screen, they collectively screamed. Brontosaurus? SCREAMS Sick triceratops? SCREAMS Herd of gallimimus? SCREAMS I had recurring dinosaur nightmares for easily a decade after that.

Animals don’t behave the way JW’s dinosaurs do. The pteranodons in JW flying directly to the resort and killing tourists? Dumb. The gallimimus in JP being scary because their natural behaviour (stampeding away from T-Rex) is inherently dangerous to squishy, slow humans? Great.
Uma curiosidade é q o Ornithominus pertence a família Ornithomimidae, a mesma do Gallimimus q aparece no 1º Jurassic Park. Se o filme tivesse sido produzido alguns anos depois talvez já tivessem feito o Gallimimus com penas nele. Pra mim ver eles assim é quase como ver galinhas depenadas correndo.

I don’t see a lot of love for the Gallimimus in the JP fandom but it’s one of my faves. Maybe it was awe in Dr. Grant’s voice when he watched them running in the field that inspired my love for them. Anyways, this is the next dinosaur in my series of favourite’s from the JP franchise.
