getting a license can be daunting, but it’s not as hard as it seems. you can join a local ham club and there are folks there who would LOVE to teach you. But ARRL & various study outfits actually post the full question pool online AND it’s multiple choice, so you can do straight memorization.

this could be a potential avenue for creating cruelty-free ham...

and the cool thing about ham radio is you can get a basic transceiver and the most basic license and be able to contact people EVEN IF phone systems go down in your area.
