In the Netherlands 75% of a hearing aid is paid for by the basic health insurance everyone already has. The best hearing aid currently here is the Oticon Intent for about 2000 Euro. So they cost youabout 500 Euro Airpods are about 200 Euros. But you'll need an I-phone. hearingaids are cheaper.

Rechargable hearingaids sound good in theory but 2-3 years in and I do hate them. They last maybe 12-14 hours and that ain’t enough

Also today I learned other hard of hearing people take their hearingaids out on rollercoasters…..I’ve had mine for….25 years and I’ve NEVER taken them out unless it’s a water ride and even then it’s not like a fluke ride it’s like the wave where you know you’re getting drenched
I feel like I got scammed with “rechargable” hearingaids. Like them little button batteries lasted me 2 weeks when I’d leave them on 24/7 in the hospital. These last MAYBE 14 fucking hours.
