This is a serious question btw, I'm curious if reading Hebrew makes me better at reading English backwards than the average English speaker

continued, via t.me/QudsNen/125833 “This action follows the recent publication of a map of southern Lebanon detailing at least 300 new settlements, where Lebanese villages and towns in southern Lebanon have been renamed with Hebrew names.”

The movement's site recently published a map of southern Lebanon detailing at least 300 new settlements, with Lebanese villages and towns south of the Litani River rebranded with Hebrew names

below, said map, where southern Lebanon is in lightest blue and the names of towns and villages re-written in bright, blocky
yellow Hebrew.
The group also sent balloons and drones to the area emblazoned with messages threatening residents to "evacuate
immediately" as "this is the land of Israel that belongs to the Jews"

Below, photos of said drones, balloons, and notes printed in Hebrew and Arabic

They're generic Americans who may or may not have Jewish ancestry, were rarely raised Jewish (Julia Salazar does not and was not), try to celebrate Jewish holidays but miss important objects, and spell Hebrew left-to-right. JVP leaders were caught using sockpuppets, and the 20 kids don't care.

It’s Inktober, which means it’s time for another month of reclaiming the Hermetic Tarot. All previous cards are on my Instagram, @ sadfunnytrue. Today is the Three of Pentacles. The first image is the reclaimed card and the second is original. Full description at my Instagram.

Three large circles divided into sections in a black background with Hebrew around it.

And, in that regard, it's interesting to me that if I say "tzu gezunt" in Yiddish, or "l'vriut" in Hebrew, I think it's much *more* likely to be interpreted as projecting Jewish religiosity into answering someone's sneeze than "God bless you", even though both phrases just mean "to health".

the L' at the front is a prefix meaning to/for (as in l'chaim/to life), so it always struck me as half a sentence, based on my very beginner level knowledge of Hebrew

a population untethered from reality

Ira Glass travels through Israel with Adam Davidson, who speaks Hebrew and has countless Israeli cousins and other family members. They find that the entire country has moved to the right in reaction to Palestinian violence—so far right that at a cafe of leftists, they're no longer arguing about peace, but about whether the Palestinians are simply born animals or if they're taught to be animals. @Jerusalem_Post: Khamenei threatened Israel in Hebrew, prompting Wilders to label him a "psychopath" while reaffirming support for Israel amid escalating tensions.
