Goldfinches are voracious but nothing like housefinches or purple finches! They can empty the feeder in a matter of minutes!🤗🤣🤣
Today we found a baby bird that had obviously died days ago but it only got into the courtyard today. Magrat buried it in a planter. I did see one of the ever growing flock of lost baby housefinches fly from the bench to a bicycle. This is really messing her up & I can’t be comforting today.
We are not allowed potted plants or birdfeeders outside our apartments. The building does, however, provide housing to a big flock of housefinches.

Now that the birdfeeder is up again, Zooey and I were visited by a small group of blue-gray gnatcatchers while we were out. Housefinches have returned (of course), and mourning doves.
