"That's wild!" - SARAH AL-AHMED, Scientist and Hubble Repairman John Grunsfeld, Planetary Radio
A spiral galaxy, observed with the Hubble Space Telescope in the COSMOS survey. It is at redshift 0.85 (lookback time 7.29 billion years) with coordinates (150.32087, 2.32216). 55 volunteers classified this galaxy in Galaxy Zoo: Hubble.
Jupiter's Great Red Spot is being squeezed, Hubble Telescope finds — and nobody knows why. Via @spacedotcom #Spacewww.space.com/jupiter-grea...
Jupiter's famous Great Red Spot has been under constant observation since the 19th century, but this new development is unprecedented.
The crab Pulsar a city sized left over core of star that went super nova in 1054, this image is a combination of visible light from the Hubble Space Telescope in purple, x-ray images in blue from Chandra, and red from infrared images from the spitzer space telescope.
A smooth galaxy, observed with the Hubble Space Telescope in the COSMOS survey. It is at redshift 0.68 (lookback time 6.39 billion years) with coordinates (149.71072, 2.13438). 50 volunteers classified this galaxy in Galaxy Zoo: Hubble.
A spiral galaxy, observed with the Hubble Space Telescope in the GEMS survey. It is at redshift 0.65 (lookback time 6.21 billion years) with coordinates (53.25743, -27.87383). 108 volunteers classified this galaxy in Galaxy Zoo: Hubble.
JWST did not come cheap! But (a) what an utterly astonishing engineering achievement, (b) I can remember when the first Hubble images came through and this is the same level of awesome.
