A huge oversight in the lore is that we never got any major characters at the center of the Imperium, and in fact they imported a character from 30K instead of the most basic thing like giving the high lords names.

Reading Robert Harris’s ‘Imperium’ is a good way into this. Reminds me I should read the other two books in the trilogy.
Like I really don't know much about the Imperium canon to say how disaster relief, and "world rebuilding" would work in the Imperium. Like the old world model that The Imperium often seems to echo would probably task it to the Navy, but it seems a parallel broad serving Peace Corps would make sense
Maybe to broaden MSS, I could totally figure something like "Aid Worker" (table narrative to determine Imperium or NGO ... though I could also see NGOs likely not being distinct in the Imperium) in the original. Maybe give it as an option to Scout/Citizen/Agent lifepaths in present edition.
