Saw Kris Kristofferson at a casino in rural Iowa in February 2010. He had a cold that night, and he repeatedly interrupted vocals to lean away (and sometimes not) from the mic to honk into his hankie, always apologizing after. It was one of one greatest live shows I ever saw. R.I.P. to a real one.
"Move inland" Western North Carolina is pretty inland. If they moved to Iowa she'd tell them to move someplace without tornados, like the coast.

Sad to see this old, abandoned church, once filled with light and hope, now crumbling in silence. Echoes of prayers long gone linger in the air. There's a special sadness in seeing something once sacred fade away in my current hometown of Burlington, Iowa.
I've still only seen one in central Iowa, which isn't that surprising. We'll catch up in a couple years for better or worse.
