reconnects with his Terrible Bad biological uncle, and he's going to eventually at some point make contact with his distant gelmorran relatives. it's just a bit hard (and a bit awkward) with the latter because he doesn't have much of a starting point. his grandmother came to ishgard on her own-

nyx can walk the streets of ishgard, but they do get stared at sometimes. mothers pull their children away & cover their eyes, shopkeepers hide their most valuable goods on display, & the knights have their hand on the hilt of their blades. nyx just wants to live a mortal life.
& it's not all of ishgard ofc. but if a dragon had just ransacked your town, then the war ends & dragons are chill now, then a voidsent comes in? ur probably gonna be wary & hope this doesn't start another war like we JUST got over the first one. wary, not aggressive. that's the keyword here.
