Para código sensível, usem o Microbenchmark do Java. Acabei de fazer uma validação de um código de serialização que é chamado o tempo inteiro e descobri que usar Java Collections tem uma melhoria de performance de 39% ao invés de usar Guava. gist.github.com/vepo/c879bc8...
