I understand why Kamala needs to talk about the border deal. But it is absolutely maddening how no one in the Democratic party is making the case for fixing the legal immigration system. It is a kafkaesque hellscape to navigate even for the “easy” processes like marriage green cards.

Had this debate with a friend a week or so ago re: asylum he was on about 'illegal immigrants bumping people who were legal" off a list. He couldn't believe that there is no safe way to claim asylum in the UK if you don't have documents. Just couldn't get his head around how Kafkaesque it all is.
They could have implemented a system to check you have FDE and a good password policy and allows you to self report non compliance with temporary exceptions that get flagged to your IT admins, but instead they created a Kafkaesque nightmare software that breaks and doesn't tell you why.
The DWP has just written to me to tell me they are moving my benefit to the DWP and that I must write to the DWP to inform them that the DWP is moving the benefit. They haven't given any instructions how they would like this done. Could this get anymore Kafkaesque?
