Been hopping between different cafés and restaurants all day. Stopped at a Shoprite afterwards and noticed an old synagogue peaking out from the trees from the parking lot. Crossed the street and found an urban environmental center with beautiful gardens.
Humpday this week is a Martini (Bombay, capful of vermouth, olive) followed by spaghetti squash with marinara with burger, Kalamata olives, and garlic.
c/w food. Made an awesome chickpea tagine thing that was so simple - fried diced carrot/celery/onion - added a tin of chickpeas and a tin of harissa from the Turkish shop, spoonful of honey, some cumin, salt/pepper, pickled mushrooms, pickled garlic then some kalamata olives thrown in at the end.
Sometimes you have a tough day and you decide to get a big impossibly sized calzone to make up the deficit
Shrimp Saganaki last night. It’s all Greek to me (literally) but was easy and tasty: shrimp cooked in a rich tomato sauce, topped with grilled and crumbled feta, Kalamata olives, and fresh mint. YUM! 😋
