We did like Darj but definitely didn't see it at its best. They had half the usual monthly rainfall overnight so we didn't see the views of the Kanchenjunga sadly.
That’s why the train hoots constantly. It was cloudy so we didn’t hit the views of the Kanchenjunga. We reached Ghum late and had to wait for the steam train to arrive.

i would say that the conditions last winter were roughly comparable to summiting kanchenjunga
Nepal is a fascinating country to visit. I have done the Annapurna Circuit twice, in 2016 & 1993 (31 years ago). Downside in 2016 was pollution in Kathmandu. I have posted more photos from 2016 on my timeline. Plus one from 1993. Hope you enjoy Kanchenjunga.
