Kefalonia is stunning, especially the north around Fiskardo. Can highly recommended it. Also going to do a week on a beach somewhere, OH choice. We usually go to Barbados in Jan, but Dengue fever is rife now so too risky for him. Our friends got it this year and were so ill, can’t risk it.

Amazing how travel has changed since our age group first travelled. What an experience. I can fly Manchester to Seville so I’ll take your advice. Already got 4 trips lined up for next year ( two are to Germany) and I’m going to stay with my friend in Kefalonia, so I’ll have to squeeze it in.

My son was fortunate to have volunteered for Wildlife Sense in Kefalonia a few years back. The dedication and public outreach is just wonderful. They coordinate care of injured turtles with Archelon. Sadly, BOAT propellers and FISHING hooks/lines are the most common cause of injuries and death 🥺

We had this fabulous lunch in Scala, Kefalonia recently. Stuffed aubergines and roasted peppers, and chicken souvlaki. Back in England now with all the rain - desperately wishing I was still there eating this meal.
