She started learning it mostly so she could read more books, but then found that her ability to speak the Fae language fluently made her popular among the citizens of Il Mheg and gave her an advantage in negotiating with them. Plus she just likes how it sounds and feels to speak it.

Considering the fact that Khi's nightmares usually involve no small amount of tossing, turning, thrashing, etc, plus screaming and/or sobbing.... It's not so much that she intends to wake them. It just can't be helped.

Since Khione is an only child to parents who struggled to conceive for a number of years before Khione was conceived, her name day, which falls on the Winter Solstice to boot, is essentially a holiday, but in a very wholesome way -- the Norths always emphasise spending it with family and loved ones.

Khione has bad asthma, a severe seafood allergy, PTSD (*ESPECIALLY* after Endwalker, but even before that), and panic attacks. The asthma is treated with a daily tonic developed by her father, plus she carries an emergency tonic with her at all times. (Cont in thread)

Khione's striking silver eyes -- she inherited them through her mother's bloodline from Azem -- Khione is, in addition to carrying Azem's soul, a direct descendant of the very first Source shard of Azem, and that's where the silver eyes come from!

Hang on, lemme go haul out my vastly overstuffed three-ring binder of everything that went into creating Khione. But if I have to name just one thing, her original appearance when I first created her was inspired by magpies because they're my favourite animal!
