Today we rode around Dartmouth to test the route for the next #KidicalMassHfx#BikeHfx.

Two people (an adult and a child) ride their bikes next to each other in a protected bike lane on a bridge. The angle of the sun creates a shadow on the bike lane: of the riders and the metal fencing separating them from vehicle traffic.

Hey #BikeHfx#Halisky#KidicalMassHfx ride in downtown Dartmouth. No experience necessary; but it does take a certain kind of person to 'cork' traffic with a smile on their face at 10:00am on a Sunday. If that's you, please reach out!

This morningā€™s bike ride was full of fun chats! I ran into a bike friend as he was also heading out on the trail, which gave us a chance to talk about the municipal election. On my way back, someone asked me about #KidicalMassHfx and it turned out to be the provincial politician for the area. 1/2

Can we organize getting this to the next #KidicalMassHfx ride? This is a Bakfiets I definitely want to try.

The Hutten market stand is pretty often an impromptu #KidicalMassHfx organizer catch up spot.

Two electric cargo bikes parked on a brick plaza. The back of both bikes have signs on them advertising Kidical Mass Halifax (and added stickers on them for Stephen MacKay running for election in District 8).

I spy the tail end of a #KidicalMassHfx ride in that last photo.

This is an outstanding turnout for a part of the city that doesnā€™t even have sidewalks on some of the streets. And for those of you who joined #KidicalMassHfx for Julyā€™s ride, you know this is also very hilly!
