co-ordinating responses from our vagus nerve feedback loop is something i've been doing in-deep with my Age Concern counselor, nothing to do with martial arts, just keeping sōf more or less sane it has surprising connections to the kinetics of taichi

Data-driven Bayesian estimation of Monod kinetics https://arxiv.org/abs/2402.04727 In this paper, we consider the well known problem of non-linear identification of the rates of the reactions involved in cells with Monod functions. In bioprocesses, generating data is very expensive and long and s 📈🤖

What I did know about were mechanisms, kinetics, isotope effects, etc., so I actually knew the most at group meetings but the least at the bench. By the end of the first year, I had the hang of it, and things went great. Gerlt liked me, which was very fortunate, of course!

First, as an undergrad I hated kinetics. It was all boring equations and seemed unrelated to reaction mechanisms. (Bad teaching? Bad student?) Anyway, I discovered that once you care about the reaction, kinetics was fascinating, and I was good at doing consistent experiments and detective work.
