“This polls-first approach to political commentary came, in part, out of fantasy sports. If you look at today’s polling gurus… many of them—including Split Ticket’s Lakshya Jain, whom I interviewed last year, and Nate Silver, the founder of FiveThirtyEight—got their starts on fantasy-sports sites.”
The question is not whether we should trust the polls. It’s whether the onslaught of analysis that invariably follows them actually holds any predictive or explanatory power.
I don't think Harris is “clearly winning,” but I do think polls are starting to herd around a tie because it’s the safest bet, and people whose expertise and lack of bias I trust, like Lakshya Jain, are saying something similar.

Watched KILL (2024). It's an American-style brutal action flick. Die Hard on a train (but not Under Siege 2) The setup is good. The payoff great. Star Lakshya proves he's got what it takes in a movie fight. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kill_(f... Terrific fight choreography & effects. Hard R for violence.
