Printed something on an old HP laserjet printer yesterday. Needing to do so again today. Why isn’t my laptop showing the printer? FFS Shut off printer. Unplug from laptop, reconnect. Turn on. Nothing! WTF Reboot computer. Nothing! Ugh Oh, why is the cable to the printer so loose? D’Oh! lol

What I wouldn't give for an old school LaserJet 4M plus. Might need a new fusing unit and a good cleaning of the rollers, but I bet those tanks are otherwise still running.

Mit dem HP Laserjet Pro bin ich im Büro sehr zufrieden. Wenn Tinte doch ggf. eine Alternative werden könnte, da nutze ich zu Hause im Büro den HP Officejet Pro. Bei meinem älteren Modell wurde der Fernwartungsservice zwar jetzt eingestellt, den habe ich aber auch nie benutzt bzw. registriert.

I was initially considering a LaserJet, but now I'm seriously looking at an Epson Ecotank printer, just because it doesn't seem to nickel and dime you on the refills + no subscription

Get a LaserJet. Bit more expensive initially but toner lasts a lot longer than those overpriced ink cartridges.

The most likely trajectory of my writing career at this point is running off all upcoming novels on a laserjet and mailing out free copies to my three living fans, so I can certainly keep you in mind for that.
