(Posting from the 1190s) I think Richard the Lionheart shouldn’t have done that to the Duke of Austria’s flag in the first place. Leopold def did his part in the siege of acre.

Do you remember the introductory panels in the Leopold? Very good. Maybe 1000 words each. Contemporary analysis but free of the voguish posturing that characterises the London scene. They are thinking about what they are doing in a completely different way.

(sorry, bath break) frustrating thing is that I can't quite put my finger on what it is - went to the Leopold in Vienna and Musee D'Orsay in Paris last year and both of them were just *so good* - the pieces in UK museums aren't necessarily worse but they feel like less than the sum of their parts
