This is a common garden visitor in South Africa, the grey loerie. It has a harsh and distinctive two-syllable cry that sounds like "Go Away". The loerie is known as the Go-Away Bird. The country's top advertising competition is called the Loeries, if you ever wanted to discuss ad fails.

A grey loerie perched on a wooden fence. It is about half a metre in length - tuft to tail - and has a pronounced feathered crest.
