As I spend more time with my characters I develop more ideas using the common themes I've tried to give them - which lets me then expand that out well into more abstract pieces, hopefully. Hmm. Here are some neat hands I drew. (And this time I've remembered to use the my tag :). #lostart

I can't draw well from memory so here I'm studying from a book & some photos. I gave myself homework because I'm tired of hands & feet being an intimidating block I leave until last. That's dumb. In many people the little toe curls to the side. Not sure if natural or caused by shoes. #lostart

Hot Dragon foot models in your area call 1-900-HOT-DRGN (Err - Please don't I don't know what that # really is) It's some human looking plantigrade feet with sharp dragon nails.
A side view of more feet.. The back one has the big toe pulled up some. I like how this one came out and I like the idea pinky toes that curl in and under the toe next door. This one I strayed more from the model and had more fun with which is probably why I like it more. More dragon toenails / talons. Speaking of dragon feet if you want to see something really metal and you have a strong stomach for gore and injuries look up ballerina feet. They could crack walnuts. I warned you though - en pointe is NOT good to feet.
The prior two pictures colored in gray and white.. Lost has black nails so I keep experimenting with that. I think if I took these and made them more sinewy and added 50% more cat I'd be 95% of the way to dragon. I will draw feet until all I see at night is feet.
A couple foot studies from a book and me trying to construct one based on a photo.. Foot underside - heel, arch, ball, and toes.. Toes are sort of flat on the bottom at this angle, everyone makes circles and they aren't.. Body parts are mostly ovals or potatoes.. Other side - someone doing a ballet stretch - so toe flat against the ground and the heel / foot going up from there. I'm just trying to study shapes. If you do this you will probably break your foot. The middle is me trying to construct a foot from geometry based on a photo.

This is Lost Dragon, my OC, spell casting. I've been working seriously on his design for months. Eventually all depictions will converge & become the canon version. Keeping: shape of his horns, jewelry, busted horn, & ear notches, teeth/mouth. Not depicted: I brought his glasses back. #lostart

Lost Dragon - a big white dragon with black around his lips growls at you with squinty eyes. He appears to be casting a spell as there's a big ankh over his head glowing. He's got earrings on right ear and notches cut into the one on the left. His right horn is whole. His left horn is damaged and broken off (but filed down)

I want to use the tag function to help users find my art inside my feed - so I'll be reposting some old work. Lost's design keeps changing because I've been working on it all summer. Here's he depicted in the darkness of his mental landscape. Oh there's the sublime too it's not all bad. #lostart
