Just got a #meshtastic t-deck plus, but can't hit any nodes from my house 😭
The regular ham stuff but also unlicensed Meshtastic and exam-free, license fee-only GMRS
For the folks interested in amateur radio Meshtastic is a really cool side branch.
An open source, off-grid, decentralized, mesh network built to run on affordable, low-power devices
What about newish radio tech like lora & meshtastic? I’ve been thinking about that a bit but worried it’s mainly used by the biggest dickends on the planet
situations like this make me extra frustrated with e.g. Meshtastic which is theoretically great except it scales horrendously
Hopefully, there are some meshtastic nodes up as well.
turned wifi off and bluetooth on, connected the Mesh device to my phones, meshtastic app, mesh device thru bluetooth sharing my mesh device location. - once i get a 2nd device, ill re-connect this one to wifi, 2nd one to bluetooth, and this 1st one stationary at home to antenna
Meshtastic is cool, shame you have to use it with an external radio though.
