Screenshot Alec tenses up immediately, pulling his hand away. "We're not here to talk about money," he says firmly. Magnus gapes at him. He wasn't expecting such a stark reaction. "If it's a topic that affects your relationship… of course we can," Christine says calmly. "I don't wanna talk about it," Alec says sharply. Magnus is taken aback. He knew it was a sensitive topic. That's why he saved it for therapy. But Alec shutting it off completely only makes this all the more worrying. "Why?" Magnus asks as gently as he can muster. "I don't wanna fight about it." "Why would we fight?" Alec shrugs but it doesn't look indifferent enough for Magnus to buy it. "Often, when we feel like avoiding a topic, it is sensible to take a closer look," Christine says. "Magnus has money, I don't. That's pretty much it," Alec says flatly.
