So I said all that to say this: Every person who suffers from any disease benefits in being able to measure what that disease is doing to them, for themselves. It requires honesty and humility. But it’s worth it.
I’m not sure if I agree that the measure of something’s quality is whether a 20 year old would appreciate it if they came across it for the first time. Most 20 year olds never heard of the Marx Bros. the Goon Show & wouldn’t know what to make of that kind of comedy.
To be clear I have no delusions that I am a robot, but the metaphor works in my mind. If you solve a problem with yourself, the you on the other side of that problem is capable of more than the you from before it. This is just another way to measure this disease. It’s also not perfect. Why?
