Okay, I'm going to do the thing. 31 horror movies I enjoy, one for every day in October. Let's start with Messiah of Evil (1973). It's superficially a zombie movie but it's also about isolation, grief, paranoia, and looking for escape when there's none to be found.

A still from Messiah of Evil. A woman is eating popcorn in the middle of a movie theater. She is surrounded by townsfolk who all look subtly sinister. Right now everyone is keeping up appearances. It's just a normal night at the movies. But soon someone will drop the pretense and things will get nasty quickly.

honestly if he doubles down on his messiah shit without providing any details while also doubling on "Israel should kill everyone" selling point that may make him look worse...hopefully. he's getting more violent and out of control and hopefully the people FUCKING notice.

Scott has to have a word with Tony when he appears in the fallout of Messiah CompleX, trying to get the X-Men to register.

Iron Man: and I know what you’ve been through, but to do the thing you do—
Cyclops: see, that’s the thing, the difference. Being a mutant isn’t what we do, Tony… it’s not a choice. So, do you want me to register for being born? Is that really who you are now?
Scott: to tell you we’re not joining your initiative, we’re not working for the government… and as of right now, there is no X-Men. Charles Xavier’s dreams died in that institute. We’re all just mutants now, Tony… and we don’t have secret identities. How you want to deal with that is your problem.
