(Sorry to jump in, but I love this topic) the ancient religions (and especially Christianity) would pay metaphysical compliments to their God, and make Him, like, the Ultimate Caesar. But there are modern forms of theology/philosophy that think a loving but NOT omnipotent deity is more honest
i have a lot of weird beliefs and one of them is that i do have a soul mate but when we're in our true bodies, or the metaphysical, or whatever, and one of us wants to come live another life down here, the other just kind of stays behind to watch. so i have this soul mate, but i'll never find him.

Took a little ride over to the witch store after improv today. I've got to entertain that little part of my brain that can't let this stuff go.
Sadly the witch community I've seen isn't that great with recognizing non humans or those who fall outside of their moral hierarchy. Mainstream religion would normally dismiss it outright or cite "possession" and engage in metaphysical violence.

This seems predictable. I like to take a v long view, which becomes metaphysical. If the collective human species wants to stay around, something's gotta give. Fortunately, a sturdy subset of humans love solving huge problems. I am so here for them. Putting a little Sunday woo woo into the feed. 🤞
You're just presupposing that the information processing model of the mind is coherent. But it isn't. And it just over complicates everything unnecessarily and doesn't explain anything. It's a piece of 17th century metaphysical speculation.
