BRUH www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-GQ... LEGEND. Basically: if you're sculpting with multires modifier, subdivide the mesh a bunch of times (and apply the subdiv modifier), and THEN use multires. Instant enormous performance boost. I might re-sculpt that shirt and see how things turn out.

wtf....!!!! blender's multires modifier has an eraser function!!! you can actually ERASE sculpted details without having to just painstakingly smooth stuff out.... that's fucking wild lmao, this rules already

Something I wished I learned sooner in my crazy adventures with 3D, is the importance of good mesh topology and quad modelling. In Blender a fully quad mesh makes using subdivision surface modifer or the multires modifer for baking normals look *so* much cleaner.

wow, i was curious if you can bake a multires into a texture and - yes - it's ridiculously easy

I've baked all my textures in Blender, including a multires sculpt for normals! Definitely doable, if painful :)

I applied the pose and multires so I can polypaint at a better quality, so yes, now is assymetrical 😫

[OK but for real: I was scared of Blender too once. Configuring it with more sensible presets is the first steps, and looking up sculpt-retopo-multires workflows does the rest. Sculpting can be surprisingly intuitive! ]

If any blender buffs could help me with a multires issue that'd be awesome. How do I change the shape of my model at viewport 0. It's different from viewport 1, and if I apply the subdivide and un-subdivide it ruins my seams. I can always just cancel the mod and change it after to look similar?

the paw pads are not painted yet. Vertex painting doesn't keep up with the multires

nevermind I had multires on again
