100% all this, plus my daughter had school friends living on that block and the videos she saw were pure chaos. Frey campaigned in part on getting the cops in check, and his failure was so profound I honestly believed he would be forced to resign. Was def less afraid of NatG than cops at that point.

I live about a mile away from where Floyd was murdered. I remember being annoyed with Walz, but also not really sure what he should have done differently. From where I was sitting, the biggest risk was the police. Walz calling in the National Guard seemed to reduce police violence, maybe?
