Even when choosing between Democrats; the NYT path to endorsing Dan Goldman in the NY10 primary is quite a story. (Most of his opponents in the crowded race had actual legislative experience and were more liberal.) prospect.org/politics/new...
There are ties between the families of Goldman and Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger, who took an interest in the endorsement.
jacob frey vs. ilhan omar in 2026: idk man everyone hates jacob frey except for centrist dems. he won 2021 basically on name recognition, sexism, + strib insulation. not sure those advantages would translate to a cong. run, especially with 8 yrs of baggage. de blasio bombed in NY10 after all
Having looked at the new maps for NY10 I’m now legitimately unsure about the vital question of whether my House representative is Dan Goldman or Jerry Nadler
Re-upping this. Vote Evan Hutchison in NY10. Vote Jamaal Bowman in NY16.
More optimistic take: my congressman, Dan Goldman (NY10), initially had a wishy washy statement and his staffer was very snippy on the phone. Then after she failed 2x in the legislature he put out a much stronger one. Similar with other electeds when they saw which way the wind was blowing.
Love getting an "Out & About in NY10" from Rep Goldman that doesn't mention anything about Congestion Pricing. Real on the pulse of New York.
It's a bummer that the bench for NY10 sucks this year.
I don't know who here live in NY-10 (Brooklyn), but Evan Hutchison seems like the guy to vote for. Probably a lost cause, but no way I'm gonna vote for fucking Dan Goldman. votehutch.nyc
Highest blank percentage by CD borough: 1. NY07 Brooklyn - 33.5% 2. NY10 Brooklyn - 29.4% 3. NY07 Queens - 29% 4. NY09 Brooklyn - 24.1% 5. NY14 Queens - 23.9% It remains criminal no one bothered to challenge Goldman. Even if just to make AIPAC spend some money on him.
