Newsom Signs Law Banning College Legacy, Donor Admissions
Private, nonprofit colleges in California will be banned from giving preference in the admissions process to applicants related to alumni or donors of the school under a new law signed this week by Gov. Gavin Newsom.
The moment I realized I disliked him was when his campaign helped push a Republican onto the general election ballot in 2018 so that Newsom would have a guaranteed win. I'm pretty down on Adam Schiff for similar at the moment, TBH, but I'll still vote for him over Garvey.

Yesterday he vetoed stopping private equity buying up and breaking CA healthcare as well as making AG responsible for ensuring pharmacy benefit managers don't rip Californians off while harming their health care with automatic denials. Newsom is proving to be GOP focused. These were passed bills!
