Wie wichtig die Arbeit der Seenotrettungsorganisationen ist, zeigt sich in den letzten Tagen deutlich. Gestern fand die #OceanViking von SOS Mediterranee ein Boot mit 29 Personen in Seenot. Das italienische maritime rescue coordination centre wies die Crew an, ihnen zu helfen.
Rescue Nach einer Meldung von @alarmphone fand die #OceanViking ein Fiberglasboot mit 35 Personen an Bord in der SRR, die von Italien und Malta geteilt wird. Die Überlebenden geben an, 3 Nächte auf See verbracht zu haben und leiden an Unterkühlung und Dehydrierung. (1v2)
Ebenso war die #OCEANVIKING#SEAEYE4 soll als erstes Schiff ganze 60 Tage festgesetzt bleiben. Im Fall der HUMANITY 1 wurde die Festsetzung bereits vorläufig durch einen Richter als „offenkundig rechtswidrig“ aufgehoben. Auch die SEA-WATCH 5 ist inzwischen wieder frei.
